'These three idols of Hindu gods Lord Surya, Shiva and Ganesha, all dating back to 10th-11th century A.D., were being taken to Nepal,' said a press statement issued by Additional Commissioner of Customs (North Bengal and Sikkim) R. Mangababu.
'The idol of Lord Surya was made of sandstone and the other two statues were of black stone. All the three antique pieces are worth about Rs.3 million,' it added.
