Electoral officer now belts out Bollywood song
New Delhi, Nov 11 (IANS) The Delhi Electoral Office has launched its 'Pappu can vote' campaign to try and convince people to cast their votes.
When the campaign was launched this week, the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi Satbir Silas Bedi, who announced it to the media, was cornered by reporters.
She was jovially chiding reporters for not voting on polling day when one persistent scribe asked her to sing the campaign song to convince them.
A laughing Bedi could neither sing nor refuse. She finally succumbed to the demand and in her husky voice sang the original song 'Pappu can't dance ...'
The campaign might not have used the abusive word 'saala' of the song, but Bedi sang the original song from the hit Bollywood movie 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na'.
