Older Fathers - Bad Sperms - Diseased Kids
A British study report has brought good news for the younger fathers and bad news for the old. The report states that children born to 45 plus dads are twice more likely to die than the children born to younger fathers in their 20s. The report appeared in the European Journal of Epidemiology and was written up Sunday in the Telegraph.

This difference in the mortality rate is due to the deteriorating quality of sperms with the age of the man. The study proves false the older assumption that the biological clock works for females only and males are as good for reproduction throughout their life as females are when they are young.
The experiment was conducted on 100,000 children born between 1980 and 1996 of whom 830 have so far died before they reached 18, majority when they were less than an year old. So far studies have focussed on older mothers but this one was an altogether different of its kind.
The decreasing quality of a man’s sperm makes their children prone to diseases like Autism, Epilepsy, Schizophrenia and other disorders. The main cause of death in these children was found to be heart and spine problems.
The report gives another reason for early marriages and births of children at the “right time”. It brings a new factor for couples heading them towards a new dimension regarding marital concerns.
