Premier League title race will be tight: Wenger
London, Nov.10 (ANI): Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has said that the race for the 2008-09 Premier League title will be a tight one, despite the club's recent 2-1 victory over previous season winner Manchester United over the weekend.
Wenger's Arsenal has lost to Fulham, Hull and Stoke this season, but is currently placed third in the table after beating Manchester United.United have managed to take only one point from trips to Anfield, Stamford Bridge and the Emirates.
The Sun quoted Gunners boss Wenger as saying: "It could be tighter than everybody expected it to be because the teams in the second part of the league have improved. To go away and win at Stoke, at Blackburn, at Bolton, at Wigan, it's difficult, more difficult maybe than 10 years ago. And, to deal with the Champions League and all these games is very difficult." Gunners skipper William Gallas added: "It was really important for us to win because we want to stay in the race and, to do that, we want to win every game. The last few games we have drawn and lost, so it was important to win at home." (ANI)
