Time for BJP to keep word of honour in Karnataka
Bharatiya Janata Party will almost take new birth today with swearing-in for the first time in Karnataka and in any southern state. However, the BJP tasted the power last year before its allies JD (S) government had collapsed, but that survived for just a week.
B S Yeddyurappa, then too, had led his ministries in the Legislative Assembly and again the ministries will swore-in under his leadership.

This time the BJP looks more secure, confident and strong with Karnataka people's mandate to govern for the state and work for the welfare of the people.
BJP's emergence as the largest party in the state with 110 seats just short of three to gain simple majority directed the party to take support of Independent MLAs and with six off eight Independents it has been able to rule the state.
The Karnataka's poll also brought good fortune for the Saffron party for it started holding ground among Muslims minority, which considered-in fact evident- the party were against their communities in principle and act and the party which has always been fighting election on the issue of Hindutva.
Forgetting the post-Godhra violence incurred upon the Muslim communities by the Saffron party and its mentor RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) almost 25 percent Muslim electorates turned up in assembly elections and voted for the BJP. And almost 50 percent voters used their constitutional rights of voting in Shikaripura in favour of Yeddyurappa, who contested from there.
A considerable number of Muslim electorates had also voted for BJP in Gujarat where Narendra Modi, a hard-core Hindu leader was supposed to fuelled the post-Godhra carnage by staying behind the curtain.
What does it mean? Is Bharatiya Janata Party's Hindutva tag is declining? Has its vote bank policy based over Hindutva agenda started shifting from religion to development?
Nothing can be said with surety at present, but indeed it is evident that a section of Muslims has started turning over their allegiance to BJP.
After formation of the government, the BJP now is required to keep its promise up that it made prior and during assembly polls. It had promised to redefine the poverty line to Rs 60,000 for a family and also to provide a cyber cafe in every village. Also a separate engagement made with the silicon city-Bangalore to make available new drinking water source and a metropolitan transport authority to deal with the severe traffic snarl.
Now it's ripe time for the nascent BJP in Karnataka to keep word of honour and penetrate deep into Southern India with safe, fair and cloudless figure and new hope for people. By meeting expectations and desires of people would only pass a safe and secure passage to the Bharatiya Janata Party in Southern India.
