Nokia's newest low-end mobile phones

Nokia, the world’ largest mobile handset maker has recently launched two new low budget phones namely Nokia 2600 and Nokia 1209 keeping in mind the growing Indian consumer and corresponding competition from other companies.


Both the phones come with all basic features of the same range and are available at a price tag of Rs 3,539 and Rs 1,789 respectively. The uniqueness of these two cell phones, however, is the added features like pre-paid tracker and availability in a range of colours.

Nokia 2600 Classic

The Nokia 2600 available in two GSM diapasons supports GPRS and is enabled with VGA camera, Bluetooth controller, MP3 music, FM radio player, Bluetooth connectivity, MMS, Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging and a 128 x 160, TFT display in 65k colour support. The additional feature includes prepaid tracker, a cost tracking application to track prepaid balance.

The model 2600 supports a Talk Time up to 6hrs and a stand-by time upto 24-days.

Nokia 1209

On the other side, the Nokia 1209 supports the cost management feature, the Time-Tracker which allows to pre-set call times and disconnects calls after a specified duration.

As researchers of Nokia recently in one of its observation found the extensive use of ‘phone sharing’ among users, the company through this model offers multiple phone book memories for different users.
