Questions get legislator an award, but not party ticket (Political prattle)
New Delhi, Nov 9 (IANS) Being a best legislator does not ensure an assembly ticket as Brahm Pal, a three-time legislator from Trilokpuri in east Delhi, found out.
The Congress party's ticket allotment for the Delhi assembly election has left the party's 'Best MLA' fuming and shocked.
Known for asking a lot of questions during the assembly session, which incidentally fetched him the coveted 'best MLA' award, Pal failed to win favour of the party during the ticket distribution process.
Instead, Anjana Parcha, who is a councillor from the same area, has been given the ticket.
When asked why was Pal denied a ticket, a senior Congress leader quipped, 'Asking more questions cannot earn you a ticket in elections.'
Wonder what a legislator needs to do for getting a ticket?
