New Delhi, Nov 7 (IANS) A survey by Star News and Nielsen has said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is a popular choice for prime ministership followed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a former prime minister.
According to the findings, 'Manmohan Singh led the choice as the prime minister with 20 percent, followed by BJP leader and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at number two with 15 percent.'
The survey was conducted between Oct 27 and Nov 1, with a sample size of 6,248 voters. It was done before the leading parties announced their candidates. Star News and Nielsen will again conduct a survey just before the Nov 29 Delhi elections so that a clear picture emerges.
'At number three was BJP's PM in waiting Lal Krishna Advani with 10 percent,' the survey revealed.
The most interesting revelation of the survey was the mass support Congress MP Rahul Gandhi got.
'Rahul Gandhi scored over his mother Sonia Gandhi. He got 14 percent as compared to Sonia Gandhi's 12 percent. Rahul was voted most by the youth,' the survey reveals.
