New Guinness record for snuffing out 151 candles
Blowing off 151 candles in a single breath! Yes, this unusual feat has been achieved by a 21-year-old young man from Tamil Nadu. V Sankaranarayanan has entered his name in the ultimate official Guinness World Records.
With help of breathing exercise practiced in yoga that he learnt from his yoga Guru, Sankaranarayanan has created this new Guinness record.

A native of from Ramanathapuram district of the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, he performed the extraordinary feat in January 2008 and for that he has been awarded with a certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records.
The record holder managed to blow off as many as 151 candles at one go beating the earlier record of 117 candles registered in the name of French man David Lamy in 2001.
V Sankaranarayanan received an official recognition from the District Collector at a function held recently.
Expressing his happiness he says, "It is difficult to blow even 20 candles in a single breath. I practised breathe exercises for at least six months increasing the number of candles slowly to achieve this."
