Washington, Nov 5 (DPA) Republican John McCain has defeated Democrat Barack Obama in the state of Georgia, according to projections by the television networks Fox News and MSNBC Tuesday.
The projections for the battleground state with 15 electoral votes were based on exit polls and early returns in balloting Tuesday.
