Raising slogans against the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray, a group of north-Indian youths today ransacked Maharashtra Sadan, the State liaison center and guest house at Delhi.
As per reports, a group of at least 20 people on Monday afternoon entered the premises of the Sadan and damaged furniture placed in the reception counter. Police was immediately informed but no arrest has been made so far.
Meanwhile, the Rashtrawadi Sena, another youth wing of saffron outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack.
This is for the first time that the MNS and north-Indian rift has come to the streets of the national capital. Protesters were also demanding action against the MNS chief under the National Safety Act (NSA).
It is to mention here that in a sense of divisive politics by parties like Bal Thackeray led Shiv Sena and like minded Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), there has been continuous violence against north Indians living in Mumbai and other cities of Maharashtra, on the concept of rights of Maharshtrians over migrants.
