Anil Kumble calls for an end
Indian captain and one of India's greatest spinners of all time Anil Kumble has announced his retirement from Test cricket soon after the end of today's third Test against Australia in Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi.
As per reports from the official broadcaster of the current India-Australia Test series, Kumble has publicized his retirement from international cricket. With this, he will not make himself available for the fourth Test against Australia in Nagpur.
The present captain and the highest wicket taker in both forms of the game for India, Kumble has finally called it a day for a farewell to his extraordinary career.
The well-known Anil Kumble, who has so far featured in 132-Test matches taking 619 wickets, has been a key player in both Tests and ODIs for India till date. He currently stands behind the Sri Lankan Muttiah Muralidaran (756) and Australia's Shane Warne (708) on the list of highest wicket taker in Test cricket.
