Airports Authority in DSA institutional league 'A' division final
Airports Authority of India (AAI) moved into the finals of the DSA institutional football super-league for the Chief Minister’s Cup without any sweat after their opponents All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) team didn’t take the field under protest and therefore the match was awarded in AAI’s favour here on Monday.
AIIMS players refused to play the match as they were raising questions over the eligibility of some of the AAI players. AIIMS team suspected that the rival team was not following the DSA rule of fielding only three players that are on stipend in each team.
However the AIIMS team did not take the option of playing under protest. Hence Airports Authority made it to the final and will now take on Central Secretariat while defending champion Food Corporation of India (FCI) North Zone will meet Delhi Audit in the senior division final.
