Atwal finishes tied 4th at Henrico
India's Arjun Atwal couldn’t be able to give a shy at the title but he fired a strong four-under-par 68 in the concluding round at the Henrico County Open to finish in a tied fourth place in Richmond, Virginia on Sunday.
Atwal came up with an eagle and five birdies against three bogeys on the final day to sum up a four-day total of 12-under-par 276 at the Nationwide Tour event. The performance makes Atwal chances even more strong to regain his US PGA Tour card.
PGTI member Atwal, who claimed the Maybank Malaysian Open in March, enjoyed a solid campaign in his aim to regain his US PGA Tour card via the Nationwide Tour.
The title hunt went to the wire as Greg Chalmers edged Henrik Bjornstad in a play-off, after firing matching 274s at the top of the pack, to pocket the top prize at the Dominion Club in Virginia.
