Hamilton says he will not crack under pressure in Brazil

London, Oct 31 (ANI): British driving sensation Lewis Hamilton has insisted that he will not crack in Sunday's world title showdown in Brazil.

The McLaren star last night admitted the pressure got to him in Sao Paulo in last year's title fight.

Hamilton, 23, needs only to finish in the top five to be sure of pipping Ferrari's Felipe Massa to the crown.

"It's quite a bit different to last year. Then, we came here and I'd had one bad race in China so it was all a bit hectic. The pressure of being at the last race was on me and perhaps it got to me. But this year I feel that it's just another race and we have come from a great race in China," The Sun quoted Hamilton, as saying.

Hamilton missed out on last year's title by one point despite going to Brazil with a seven-point lead over Kimi Raikkonen.

He was hit by gearbox trouble and finished down in seventh.

This time the Brit is seven points clear of Massa but he insisted: "I've not come here to finish down the order, but obviously I know that it is not do or die. I know I have a strong package and hopefully I can win the race."Hamilton believes Sunday's race will be a fair fight between him and Massa with no other drivers influencing the outcome.

"I believe every driver that's here is a great sportsman and we're all very competitive. I just have to trust and believe in everybody and hope that we can have a fair, straight race. That's what motor racing is all about and that's why I race, that's what makes it so exciting," he added. (ANI)
