India’s tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi combined well alongwith his partner Mark Knowles of Bahamas to quell the quarter-final challenge of Simon Aspelin of Sweden and Julian Knowles of Austria in straight sets and eased into the semis of the men's doubles event of the Monte Carlo Masters series.
The fourth seeded Indo- Bahamas pair defeated fifth seeds Simon Aspelin of Sweden and Julian Knowles of Austria 6-2 6-3 in the quarter-final tie of the euro 2,270,000 event.
Earlier, Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles advanced to the doubles quarters after defeating the Brazilian pair Marcelo Melo and Andre 6-4, 6-3 in the second round on Wednesday night.
