Abu Dhabi, Oct 30 (IANS) An international meet on space technology will be held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) next month to be attended by space scientists from across the world including those from the US, Europe and the UAE, WAM reported Thursday.
The three-day Global Space Technology Forum, the first of its kind in the Middle East, will be held Nov 16-18 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and will focus on new space technology and commercial markets, research and development, environment, energy and climate, among other things.
Nick Webb, director of the event organiser Streamline Marketing Group said: 'The UAE is increasing efforts to become a serious aviation and aerospace commercial, technical and services hub, and this is reflected by the outstanding calibre of global space experts who will speak at the conference'.
An exhibition on space technology will run alongside the conference, providing a unique opportunity for worldwide space industry organisations to highlight their products, services, technologies and capabilities.
