Arun's brace in AIIMS victory

Riding on Arun Kumar's fine brace All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) registered a 4-2 victory over Indian Airlines in the DSA institutional football super-league match played for the Chief Minister Cup at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Monday.

Arun Kumar put his team ahead in the 10th minute of the game while Ajay Kumar doubled the lead midway through the first half. Airlines Rajeev pulled one back in the 30th minute but to Indian Airlines dismay AIIMS Mahesh added one more to strengthen the lead.

On changing ends, Arun slotted his second in the 48th minute to read the scoreline 4-1 while Jeff found the target four minutes later for Airlines team to make it 4-2.

In another match, Yajuvendra Rawat struck a fine brace to guide Central Secretariat team to register a convincing 3-0 win over Airports Authority of India. Ravinder Waldia scored the third to round off the tally.

In another match of the day, Urban Development Ministry played a goalless draw against Delhi Development Authority.
