Around 100 killed in Pak quake

Islamabad, Oct 29 (ANI): Around 100 people were killed when an earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale rocked the Balochistan province in south-western Pakistan in the wee hours of this morning.
The tremor struck 70km north of Quetta, at around 3.30 a.m. (IST) the US Geological Survey said.
According to official sources the toll is expected to rise.
The provincial government has asked for help from the Army, which is learnt to have already sent troops and helicopters into the area.
Many houses collapsed during the quake and some were destroyed in landslides that followed it.
All the injured are undergoing treatment at various hospitals. (ANI)
