Dubai, Oct 28 (IANS) Two Indians were among three workers killed in a construction site mishap in Bahrain, reports said Tuesday.
Indians Anil Kumar and Badala Raju, both 33, and Bangladeshi worker Kamal Amin Sharif were killed when a scaffolding at a construction site in the Mahooz area of Manama collapsed Monday.
Another Indian, Kuldeep Singh, sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to a hospital.
According to the reports, Bahrain's labour ministry has ordered the construction site to be closed.
"We are looking into the matter, but we have to follow certain procedures to stop the company from working on any further construction sites," the Gulf Daily News quoted the labour ministry's occupational health and safety head Ali Makki as saying.
