London, Oct 27 (IANS) The rocker David Byrne and DJ Fatboy Slim are working on a new album and it is inspired by Philippines first lady Imelda Marcos.
According to contactmusic.com, Byrne revealed that the LP will be a 'disco musical' about the early life of the widow of dictator Ferdinand Marcos who died in 1989.
He says: 'I did research and discovered there was this story not just about her, but about the woman who raised her - their parallel lives, and how they became estranged. Imelda spent a lot of time in New York, going to clubs. She converted a floor of her New York townhouse into a kind of a club with a mirror ball and everything.'
