Bopanna-Mirnyi finish runners-up in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg (Russia), Oct 26 (IANS) India's Rohan Bopanna and Belarusian Max Mirnyi went down fighting to American Travis Parrott and Filip Polasek of Slovakia in the doubles final of St. Petersburg Open here Sunday.

The crack pair of Bopanna and Mirnyi put up a spirited performance before going down 6-3, 6-7 (4), 8-10 in the $1,049,000 hard court event.
