Preparation for 9th International Expo in Guwahati almost complete
Preparations for the 9th International Expo, 2008, which will be held from October 31 to November 13 in Guwahati, have been almost completed and the Chandmari AEI Ground is ready to welcome shoppers and buyers of North-east. Mr. M A Khan, CMD of Leo Advertising, which is the organiser of the 9th International Expo 2008, stated in a press release.

Along with various domestic companies and business organisations, stalls from Thailand, Myanmar, Pakistan, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Kenya, Malaysia and Singapore etc. will also feature in the Expo. A total of 250 business organisations are expected to join in the mega event.
According to the organiser, big names of business like LG, Asian paints, Godrej, Nestle etc., will be major attractions for the customers of the North-east as they are going to showcase their latest products in the Expo. Some other prominent organisations like the Juari Furniture, Usha International and Global Associates will also bring in new colours into the expo, says Mr. Khan.
It is to mention here that three leading actresses of Assamese film industry namely Jerifa Wahid, Prastuti Parashar and Nishita Goswami is the brand ambassador of the International Expo 2008. The slogan or theme of the Expo is “Shopping Bhi, Masti Bhi”. The organiser informs that iron-made pavilion has been built in the Expo for the first time in the North-east.
