China considering attending G20 summit on financial crisis

Beijing, Oct 23 (Xinhua) China is 'actively considering' attending a summit meeting of the Group of 20 developed and emerging countries (G20) on the global financial crisis, a foreign ministry spokesman said on Thursday.

 

'China wants the international community to coordinate and strengthen cooperation to jointly cope with the global financial crisis and maintain global financial stability,' said Qin Gang at a regular press conference.

 

 

China would maintain communication and coordination on the issue with all parties.

 

 

US President George W. Bush has called a meeting of heads of the G20 countries at the White House Nov 15.
