Ashok Chawla appointed to World Bank board

New Delhi, Oct 23 (IANS) Department of economic affairs secretary Ashok Chawla has been appointed India's alternate governor on the World Bank board.

 

Chawla will replace D. Subba Rao, his predecessor, who had recently been appointed as governor of India's central bank, the Reserve Bank of India.
