BCCI finalises Australia's itinerary to India

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the itinerary of four-match Test series against Australia, which is scheduled to arrive in India later in the year.


According to a BCCI release, the tourists will arrive in the country on Sept. 29 and begin their four-test tour with a four-day warm-up game, venue to be announced later, from Oct.

Australia will once again start of their campaign in Bangalore that will host the first Test, as it did when Australia visited India in 2004-05.


The team will then travel to travel to Mohali for the second test after a three-day gap. Delhi will host the third Test a week later followed by the final and the fourth test in Nagpur from November 5 to 9, where Australia regained the Border-Gavaskar trophy previously.


Australia is the current holders of the Border-Gavaskar trophy after they claimed it 2-1 in their home series earlier this year.

October 2-5: Tour match

October 9-13: First Test, Bangalore

October 17-21: Second Test, Mohali

October 28-Novermber 1: Third Test, Delhi

November 5-9: Fourth Test, Nagpur
