Tata Indicom's festival offer for Punjab customers
Chandigarh, Oct 22 (IANS) The prepaid subscribers of Tata Indicom in Punjab can now make long distance calls for 50 paise per minute under a special festival offer, 'Diwali Dhamaka', launched by the company Wednesday.
'Keeping the festival season in mind we have offered lucrative offers to our customers with varied pocket sizes. There are small recharge vouchers for student fraternity, special recharge voucher for longer validity and special long distance tariff voucher,' Tata Teleservices chief operating officer (Punjab) T.P.S. Walia told reporters.
The special tariff voucher, 'STD 65', will bring down long distance calls to 50 paise per minute, he added.
Tata Indicom has a customer base of over one million in Punjab and around 30 million all over the country. 'We have access to 356 towns of Punjab and around 6,600 towns across the country,' Walia said.
Tata Indicom is providing telecom services in 19 circles in the country that include states like Orissa, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.
Walia added: 'Tata Indicom has grown at a considerable pace in the last few years. In 2007, our average incremental market share was close to 20 percent in Punjab while our average incremental market share at national level is around 10 percent.'
