Imphal, Oct 21 (IANS) At least 11 people were killed and an unspecified number of people were injured as a powerful bomb exploded near a high-security zone in this Manipur capital Tuesday evening, police said.
The blast took place at about 7.30 p.m. near the zone which houses a police commando training centre, police said, adding that most of the victims were civilians.

No outfit immediately claimed responsibility for the blast. The nature of the explosion was being investigated, police officials said.
