Islamabad, Oct 19 (Xinhua) At least 25 militants were killed and many injured Sunday when Pakistani fighter jets bombed militants' hideouts in Swat valley in the country's northwest.
Pakistan's security forces pounded the militant hideouts and destroyed several houses and a mosque, News Network International (NNI) news agency reported.
Taliban spokesman Muslim Khan confirmed the airstrike and said the army's fighter planes started bombing at 8 a.m. (0300 GMT) and continued for an hour.
Pakistan has intensified its fight against militants in the restive Swat valley, a renowned tourist resort which has now become a stronghold for Taliban militants.
