Despite century, Ganguly sticks to retirement plans
Mohali (Punjab), Oct 18 (IANS) After scoring his 16th Test century, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly said Saturday he would stick to his decision to retire from international cricket at the end of the ongoing Test series against Australia.
'I think it is a right decision and I have no regrets. I don't want to play any more.

I have played well in the last two years except the recent Sri Lanka series. I feel the time has come to go. It is a personal decision,' Ganguly told reporters after he scored 102 to help India pile up 469 runs in the first innings.
But Ganguly sounded a word of caution against forcing senior players to retire.
'The choice of when to call it a day should be on a player. It is an individual decision and age should not be a bar. Players like Laxman, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul (Dravid) should be judged on their performances,' he added.
Ganguly had Friday crossed the 7,000-run mark in Tests just after his team-mate Tendulkar surpassed Brian Lara's record of 11,953 Test runs to become the highest run-getter in Test cricket. Tendulkar now is the only batsman in cricket history to have scored 12,000 runs in tests.
The southpaw said that his century at Mohali was a good one as it came when the team most needed it.
