Somdev-Healey in Calabasas semis

Calabasas,Oct 17 (IANS) India's Somdev Devvarman and his Australian partner Nathan Healey brushed aside the challenge of Prakash Amritraj and American Alex Kuznetsov to enter the semi-finals of the $50,000 Mercedes Benz tennis Challenger tournament.

Somdev and Healey beat the Indo-American pair 6-4, 4-6,10-7 on the hard courts here Thursday and will meet American pair Brian and Dann Battistone, who overcame Mexican Santiago Gonzalez and American Travis Rettenmaier 6-2, 5-7, 13-11.

Harsh Mankad and Ashutosh Singh, meanwhile, went down fighting to wild card American pair of Lester Cook and Shane La Porte 5-7, 6-7 (6).
