Madrid, Oct 17 (IANS) India's Leander Paes and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy made a shock exit from the second round of the Madrid Masters, going down to Spaniards Pablo Andujar and Marcel Granollers who were playing their first tournament of the year together.
Third seeds Paes and Dlouhy, who had a dream run with three consecutive finals including a title win at Bangkok Open, went down to the wild card pair 1-6, 6-3, 7-10.
The Spaniards next play eighth-seeded South Africans Jeff Coetzee and Wesley Moodie in the quarter-finals. Coetzee and Moodie beat Belarusian Max Mirnyi and Spaniard Tommy Robredo 6-7(5), 7-6(4), 10-8.
