New Delhi, Oct 16 (IANS) Offering the glitzy cosmopolitan attractions of Kuala Lumpur, Tourism Malaysia is reaching out to Indian travellers with its 'live-it-up @ KL' to coincide with the upcoming festival season.

'The package offers a sojourn through the bustling KL city streets full of life, culture and energy,' a Tourism Malaysia statement said Thursday.

Elaborating on the package Tourism Malaysia India director Manoharan said: 'The Kuala Lumpur Exploration package offers short-breaks focusing on weekend activities aimed at young families, couples and executives inviting them to enjoy a lively KL interlude soaking in the world-class leisure ambiance.

'The package highlights our exceptional offerings as a destination that makes it ideal for a weekend exploration of the various charms of Kuala Lumpur,' he added

A stroll through pasar malam, Kuala Lumpur's lively night bazaar, hunting attractive bargains or visits to the famed Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Cafe or one of many karaoke clubs are some of the experiences for Indian travellers during their stay at KL, the statement said.

'A day trip offers an opportunity to explore city attractions featuring a journey into the underwater world at the Aquaria KLCC to watch death-defying shark feedings or a stroll through the scenic Lake Gardens.

'The Kuala Lumpur experience is further extended with a 'KL Hop on Hop Off' with stopovers at KL Bird Park, Butterfly Park, Orchid Garden, Dataran Merdeka or the Suria KLCC or a last but must-visit stop-over at one of the numerous fish spas dotting the city to pamper tired feet after the day's excitement,' the statement added.

A walk down Bukit Bintang offering shopping opportunities at prominent shopping malls including the Bukit Bintang Plaza, Lot 10, Berjaya Times Square or Pavilion KL is another of the must-do, must-indulge activities while on a Kuala Lumpur holiday, the statement said.

Competitively priced at Rs.7,990 for 3 nights/4 days, the package does not include airfare, taxes and visa charges.

From January to September 2008, 414,284 Indian tourists visited Malaysia, registering an increase of 31.2 percent as compared to the same period last year.
