Mughal Garden to be opened exclusively for Visually Impaired Special Person

After the magnificent Mughal Garden adorning Rashtrapati Bhavan served the eyes of thousands of viewers from across the countries, here is Mughal Gardens and Herbal Gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan to be exclusively opened to revel the aesthetic sense of Visually Impaired Special Persons on March 26.


The garden will be opened at 1030 hrs to 1230 hrs on Wednesday for schools and organisations meant for Visually Impaired Special Children while from 1430 hrs to 1630 hrs it will remain open for Visually Impaired Special Individuals from General Public.

 


The entry and exit to the gardens will be from Gate No. 22 situated at Church Road, opposite North Avenue.

Mughal Garden was opened for public view on February 16 to March 24 from 1000 hours to 1700 hours. Mughal Garden includes Musical Garden, the Spiritual Garden, the Herbal Garden, the Biodiversity Park and the Nakshatra Gardens.


Inspired by Jammu and Kashmir, Taj Maha Sir Edwin Lutyens transformed this garden with his imagination into a splendid garden which covers an area of 15 acre and serve as feast for eyes for millions of viewers every year.


The Musical Garden has three enthralling fountains, which dance to Shehnai music and Vandemataram. The Musical Fountains are a perfect blend of music, light and water with the help of modern technical know-how. An excellent landscape has been created all around the Musical Fountain.


Educational-cum-conservation, Herbal Garden is a home of variety of important medicinal and aromatic plants.
