Kuala Lumpur , Wed, 15 Oct 2008 ANI

Kuala Lumpur, Oct.15 (ANI): Malaysia and India will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the exchange of workers between both countries in New Delhi in December.

A Malaysia Nanban report quoted Malaysian Human Resources Minister S. Subramaniam as saying that the MOU would outline the role of agents, working conditions and the need to follow the laws of both nations.

He said the pact would also allow for the setting up of a joint committee to deal with the movement of workers.

Dr. Subramaniam was speaking to reporters after meeting India's Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. (ANI)
