Sunitha starts of well
India’s rising tennis star Sunitha Rao gave good account of herself with her flawless performance against Neha Uberoi of US as she outclassed her opponent 6-0,6-2 in the first round of the $25,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament played at the Jaypee Greens Sports Complex here on Tuesday.
Tournament’s second-seed Sunitha got off the blocks quite fast as she pocketed her first set without losing any game.

Sunitha upped the ante of her game as the match progressed further.
Neha could all do was to win two games in the entire match, she could only able to open her account after 10 games. Wild card entrant Sanaa Bhambri was the only other Indian to join Sunitha in the singles pre-quarterfinals.
Sanaa was leading 6-1, 3-1 when her opponent Veronika Chvojkova of Czech Republic retired due to heat stroke. In another singles first round match, Nudnida Luangnam of Thailand drubbed Sonal Phadke 6-0,6-1.
