Man shot dead in Delhi
New Delhi, Oct 14 (IANS) A 26-year-old man, who was married just a year ago, was shot dead Tuesday by two motorcycle borne assailants in the Seelampur area of northeast Delhi, the police said.
The incident took place at around 10.30 a.m. in the Zamalukabad area of Seelampur.
'Anil Walia, a resident of Mojpur, was on his way to Connaught Place on scooter. Suddenly two bike-borne assailants intercepted him and had an altercation with him. The duo then shot him twice and fled from the spot,' said a police official.
Anil suffered gun shots on his shoulder and neck. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He was married a year ago and worked with a travel agency in Connaught Place.
Initial investigations hint at personal enmity behind the incident.
