Action packed fashion week begins at Pragati Maidan
The greatest fashion show where designers from all over India get privilege to showcase their creation at India’s biggest fashion event Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) set in motion here on Wednesday at Pragati Maidan.
Fashion Design Council of India organises this event to serve the interest of designers and buyers across the world.

WIFW is being attended by buyers from London, Paris, Tokyo and Europe.
The five day (March 12-16) action packed event will decide the future of many designers as well as models, 83 designers are going to display their autumn/summer collection while 52 svelte figures will bedazzled the fashion lovers by walking on the ramp in designer clothes.
This year the event is categorised into Contemporary, Synthesis/ Heritage and Creator in sync with international practice.
On first day of the event model turned actress Bipasha Basu, walked the ramp in a Cinderella dress designed by Gauri and Nainika duo.
Sumeet Verma in his show has emphasised the oriental touch while designer Vikram Phadnis’s presented ‘Save the Earth’ theme inspired by the elements of nature.
There will also be a mass pledge to eradicate child labour, reportedly FDCI has partnered for the same with Pardada Pardadi, which provide education and vocational training to underprivileged children.
This event has engrossed largest numbers of sponsorship including Reliance Mutual Fund, HP, ITC promoted Wills Lifestyle, Fiama Di Wills, Audi, Birla Cellulose, Le Meridian and Yahoo India.
Designers Charu Parashar, Shubhra, Khushali Kumar, Amit GT, Rahul Reddy, Abhijeet Khanna, Ekta and Ruchira, Alpana & Neeraj will display outfits made up of environment-friendly fibre.
