Gazza says will marry the woman who saved his life
London, Oct.13 (ANI): Former England football star Paul Gascoigne has announced that he plans to marry Sally Mulholland, 43, the woman he says saved his life.
According to the Daily Star, Gazza is pleading with the portrait photographer to end her marriage to Portuguese restaurant boss Jose Ramos, 44.
Teetotal non-smoker Sally, 43, first saw Gazza after dashing to his aide when he collapsed unconscious following an Algarve booze bender. Since then their relationship has blossomed and she is credited with helping wean the troubled 41-year-old off drink.
Smitten Gazza has now introduced Sally to his mum Carol over the phone from their Portuguese love-nest.
Delighted Carol, 64, is convinced that they will tie the knot and has given the relationship her blessing.
Though Sally still lives with her husband and their sons aged 15, 13, and 12, they live separate lives.
Gazza's ex wife Sheryl, 42, who had hoped they would get back together after his last stint in rehab, has now told pals she never wants to see "that f*****g idiot'' again.
Gazza is due to have his new left hip fitted at the private Princess Grace hospital in London's Harley Street. Sally is expected to jet in to Britain to help him recover. (ANI)
