The video is called Teesri Azaadi and reportedly the videos are sold in many part of Uttar Pradesh including Gujarat by an organisation Bhimrao Ambedkar Samaj Sudhar Samiti. The clip was aired on CNN-IBN on Tuesday.
The activists who have been linked with the videos are claiming that they have been supported by Bahujan Samaj Party but Lalmani Prasad, BSP MP whose name has been dragged into the controversy clarified, “I don't know anything about it. There are so many movies, documentaries being made and shown on television and theatres. Who made this one, I don't know. They are going on and on needlessly showing the CD on television.”
BSP President Mayawati has denied any link with the controversial CD; reportedly she has lodged FIR against the private news channel and has recommended CBI inquiry into the issue.
She said, “The term of reference of the CBI probe would be to find out the makers of the controversial CD and the people who were involved in its distribution in several parts of the country.” She has alleged BJP and Shiv Sena for making and distributing this CD.
This matter certainly has brought humiliation and embarrassment to BSP which is trying to bridge the gap among different section of society through its ideology of Sarva Samaj.
