Aditya, Atul slam centuries in Kranti Star's win

Fine centuries struck by Aditya Kumar (130) and Atul Shekhawat (102) enabled Kranti Star Club to register a massive 176-run victory over Lal Bahadur Shastri Club in an Elite division DDCA league cricket match here on Tuesday.

In the other matches of the day, Gush Club scored an easy 9-wicket win over State Bank of India (SBI) in the Super Elite division while Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) defeated Bank of India by 68 runs in the Super Plate division match.

Super Elite: State Bank of India 136 in 34 overs lost to Gush Club 137 for one in 22 overs (Manav Sharma 57, Ankur Julka 40).

Elite: Kranti Star CC 299 for four in 30 overs (Aditya Kumar 130, Atul Shekhawat 102) beat Lal Bahadur Shastri CC 123 in 29 overs (Rajeev Sharma four for 14).

Super Plate: LIC 222 for nine in 40 overs (Raghubir 61, Rajesh 59) beat Bank of India 154 in 37 overs (Ujjawal Aggarwal 46, P.K. Soni four for 25).

Southern Railway, ECR enter knock-out stage

Southern Railway and East Central Railway have made it to the knockout stage of the All-India Railway cricket championship after the conclusion of the league phase. Southern Railway, which topped the group, defeated East Central Railway by 67 runs here on Tuesday.

In another match, South Eastern Railway scored a close 19-run victory over Diesel Locomotive Works.

The scores: Southern Railway SA 287 for nine in 50 overs (A. Baskar 84, Rohan Prem 51, P. Hariraj 45) bt East Central Railway 220 for nine in 44.5 overs, by Norm Method.

South Eastern Railway 272 for five in 44 overs (Prashantha Singha Roy 61, Shoam Singh 84) bt Diesel Locomotive Works 253 in 43.3 overs (A. Varma 68).

Kuldeep, Harish shine in Tedco’s win

A fine half-century by Harish Kumar (56) and some tight bowing by Kuldeep Diwan (3/26) guided Tedco International XI to beat LB Shastri Club by two wickets in the league match of the seventh CL Gupta Memorial Twenty-20 cricket tournament.

Brief scores: LB Shastri: 135/6 in 20 overs (Yogesh Nagar 33, Sumit Rana 32, Tapan Jain 30, Kuldeep Diwan 3/26); Tedco International: 136/8 in 18.3 overs (Harish Kumar 56 Jaideep Chaudhary 34, Faimuddin Siddiqui 3/21).

Zaheer’s fine knock

Zaheer Khan's knock of 67 runs helped Trinidad and Tobago High Commission beat Delhi Doordarshan XI by 197 runs in the eighth Commonwealth High Commission cricket tournament.

Ankit's century (121 runs) helped INX News XI beat ESPN XI by eight wickets in the DSCL Twenty-20 Media cricket tournament.

Unbeaten half-century by Kishore Kumar

A fine unbeaten performance by Kishore Kumar (59) helped Sarraw Solution XI beat BSES XI by six wickets in the league match of the Star inter-office corporate cricket tournament.

Sachin shines in RLA’s victory

Sachin Badana's knock of 87 helped Ram Lal Anand College (Evening) beat Venkateshwara College by just four runs in a stimulating semifinal, as Vartik Tihara unbeaten (108) and Prateek Pawar (57) staggering contribution for Venkateswara went in vain, to enter the final of the Inter college cricket tournament.
