27 militants killed in northwest Pakistan

Islamabad, Oct 12 (Xinhua) At least 27 militants were killed Sunday in an operation carried out by Pakistani security forces in the country's northwestern Orakzai tribal agency, Dawn News TV channel reported.
Among the dead are 12 likely suicide bombers, the report said.
Pakistan's security forces have recently launched an operation against the militants in the area.
