Melbourne, October 9 (ANI): Actor Brad Pitt, who recently left his New Orleans residence, has left behind a fat cheque to help build 90 homes in hurricane Katrina-wrecked New Orleans.
The philanthropist recently made it public that his 'Make It Right Foundation' had raised enough money to put up new houses, in order to assist those people who had lost their homes to the hurricane Katrina, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Brad, who was recently speculated to split with girlfriend Angelina Jolie, recently also donated 100, 000 million dollars to fight California's 'Proposition 8', a ballot initiative that would ban same-sex couples' right to marry.
Moreover, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's foundation had announced a 2-million dollars donation to Global Health Committee to set up a TB and HIV/AIDS clinic in Ethiopia to help treat the affected children. he Jolie-Pitt Foundation was established in September 2006, when the duo had supported the Global Action for Children organization and Doctors Without Borders by donating 1 million dollars to each.
