Genealogists link Sarah Palin to Diana, Franklin D Roosevelt
London, October 9 (ANI): U.S. Republican Vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin is related to Princess Diana, if genealogists are to be believed.
According to research experts Ancestry.com, the Governor of Alaska is supposedly a 10th cousin of Diana.
Palin is also said to be related to Democrat President Franklin D Roosevelt, the man who steered the U.

Research experts say that Palin is the ninth cousin once removed of the man whose New Deal scheme is widely credited to have re-invigorated the U.S. economy in the 1930s, and their common ancestor is Rev John Lothrop, who came to Massachusetts in 1634.
Ancestry.com's chief family historian Megan Smolenyak says that Palin and Diana are descended from John Strong and his wife Abigail Ford.
The historian revealed that Strong was born around 1605 in England, and emigrated to the U.S.
"When you've got candidates who have deep roots in America, there's a good chance that they're going to have some famous cousins. We've all got literally millions of cousins. The trick is finding that one little connection that results in something like Sarah Palin being related to FDR or Diana," the Telegraph quoted Smolenyak as saying.
Last year, U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney’s wife Lynne had reported finding that Palin was a distant cousin of Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama. (ANI)
