1,500 policemen to secure India-Aussie Test venue in Bangalore
Bangalore, Oct 8 (IANS) In the light of the recent bomb blasts in Bangalore and other Indian cities, about 1,500 Karnataka police personnel will be on duty during the first India-Australia cricket Test beginning at the Chinnaswamy stadium here Thursday.
Everyone entering the 55,000-capacity stadium in the heart of Bangalore will have to go through a metal detector door and body search, a senior police official said.
