Man City's Silva set for pay rise

London, Tue, 10 Jan 2012 ANI

London, jan.10 (ANI): David Silva is set for a pay rise that will take his wages to a whopping 200,000 pounds a week.

The Manchester City playmaker will still have two years left on his current contract at the end of this season, The Sun reports.

But Etihad powerbrokers plan to sit down for talks shortly and discuss a two-year extension, which will see the Spaniard's pay leap from around its present 150,000-pound mark.

The salary hike will put Silva, 26 two days ago, alongside Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero, and is already in budget plans.

Meanwhile, City bosses will hold talks with a number of players at the end of the season to discuss deals and contract extensions, including Vincent Kompany and Nigel De Jong. (ANI)
