ESPN's Jon Gruden mistakes Michelle Obama for colleague at Orange Bowl

London, Jan 6 (ANI): ESPN's Jon Gruden mistook Michelle Obama for his colleague Lisa Salters at the annual Orange Bowl game.

Along with West Virginia's prolific scoring making headlines, the 48-year-old commentator's embarrassing moment, which was later corrected, went viral.

With West Virginia up by more than 30 on Clemson, Gruden was rambling on about play calling on Clemson's sidelines when he had an embarrassing case of misidentification.

"Quite a production calling plays on Clemson's sideline," the New York Daily News quoted him as saying.

"Just watch Chad Morris call the plays - and then there's Lisa Salters ...," he said.

Unfortunately for Gruden, it was not the journalist, rather it was the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama.

Gruden's booth partner Mike Tirico jumped in to correct him, but this didn't stop the mistake from catching everybody's attention. (ANI)
