Havret's team wins Johnnie Walker Classic's Pro-Am event
French professional Gregory Havret’s gave a perfect kick-start to his Johnnie Walker Classic campaign by leading his team to claim the honours of the Pro-Am team event. The winning team that carded the score of 56 comprised amateurs Arvind Chaudhary, Ravi Ghai and Raja Dhody in Havret’s team.
The Johnnie Walker Classic Pro-Am event, a day before the main event, concluded with an exciting day of golf at the DLF Golf & Country Club where eight lucky Indian amateur golf enthusiasts received a once in a lifetime opportunity to tee off with their favorite international golfing heroes.

Englishman Oliver Wilson’s team came second with a total of 57. Wilson’s team comprised of amateurs Shih Lung Tao, Chu Ching Chao and Graeme Marchbank. Frenchman Jean Van De Velde’s team finished third with a score of 58. The amateur golfers in Van De Velde’s team were Andrew Horne, Pawan Munjal and Sushil Gupta.
Star golfers Jeev Milkha Singh, Vijay Singh, Adam Scott, Ian Poulter, Colin Montgomerie, Anton Haig, SSP Chowrasia, Arjun Atwal were among the prominent professionals who featured in the Pro-Am.
J. S Kesar from Chandigarh, Sanjay Nadgouda from Bangalore, Mohan Chirimar from Kolkatta, Bejoy Moktan from Kathmandu, Steward Baker, Ajay Khanna and Divij Talwar from Delhi and Devang Sharma from Mumbai were the eight lucky Indian amateur golfers who got chance to play alongside some of the big golfing stalwarts of the world.
All the amateurs were selected for this Pro-Am event through the Johnnie Walker Classic Amateur Challenge after an intra club tournament played across 8 premier golf clubs in India.
