Tehran, Oct 7 (DPA) Iranian military jets forced a US Falcon plane with five senior US military officials on board to land in Iran, Fars news agency reported Tuesday.
The plane, which was coming from Turkey, had illegally entered Iranian airspace and was, therefore, forced by the Iranian jets to land at one of the country's airports.

The report did not say when and where the plane was forced to land.
Fars added that the five generals were interrogated by Iranian intelligence forces.
After it had become clear that their entry into Iranian airspace was unintentional and that their destination was Afghanistan, the generals were released and allowed to leave after 24 hours.
