London, Dec 23 (ANI): Diana Ross will be honoured with a lifetime achievement award for her contribution to the recording industry at the forthcoming Grammy Awards in February.
It will be the first Grammy for the singer.
Ross has received a number of Grammy nominations over the course of her 50-year career but has never won the award, the BBC reported.
Her early success with the Supremes was later eclipsed by a solo career that saw her have 18 number one records in the US.
Glen Campbell and the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs are also included among the honourees for the 54th Grammy awards, which will take place in Los Angeles on Feb 12.
The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences said that, the iPod creator is honoured for his part in devising products and technology that transformed the way we consume music, TV, movies and books. (ANI)
